I have four boys under 15, I have traveled more than 100k miles per year for work, and frankly, I’ve seen more tragedy than triumph. Yet at “middle age”, I’m healthier and have more energy than at any other point in my adult life. I was overweight with high cholesterol, sky-high triglycerides, degenerative disc disease in my lower back (that has resulted in me calling 911 to get me out of my house!), plantar fasciitis with severe pain for over a year in my foot, and headaches and back pain that resulted in me taking 6 to 12 ibuprofen a day (every day … for years!) as well as assorted prescription drugs as necessary. Yet in four weeks, I lost over 25 lbs, went down 2 pant sizes, and now have the energy of a Reces Monkey on speed. In four weeks, I went from dreading mornings and shoveling myself out of bed to not being able to sleep more than 6 hours a night and feeling great. I lost a total of 71 pounds in a matter of months, and I will share with you how I did it.
The Internet is the perfect place to call home — the lounge of life for my ADD! My interests are vast — technology, energy, self-sustainability, religion, humor, and lifestyle design. I’m convinced that most people who are unhappy are that way because they haven’t done anything intentional about changing their situation. That was me — letting life’s circumstances direct me and toss me around. If it came out good, perfect. If it came out bad, bummer. But a few simple intentional decisions per week have restructured my outlook and my life. No longer “tossed by the waves of the world”, I’m happier at work, healthier in life, and have a more satisfying life than ever. I’ve still got my problems, trust me, but simple decisions have transformed the way I live. And this coming from a lazy, procrastinating guy who never really had any expectations about what life could offer or any plan to achieve great things.
